Labor Day Weekend in Winnipesauke
On Labor Day weekend my friend and I decided to head to New Hampshire about a 5 hours’ drive away; we camped at Gunstock Mountain Resort until Labor Day Fireworks in the evening before we made our way back home. Our campsite had basic water and electricity. We were close to port-a-potties, within walking distance of pool, the bath and shower area.

We arrived in the afternoon after 2pm on Friday. Setup the tent on our designated site and made our way to Weirs Beach boardwalk. The beach is the most popular beach on Lake Winnipesauke. It is the hub for all types of activities and provides lots of eatery choices. It offers the perfect mix for families and friends in search of adventure.

There are so many adventures to experience at Gunstock. On Saturday we booked the Discover Adventure that included unlimited access to the following activities: Aerial Treetop Adventure, Explorer ATA Course, Mountain Coaster, Scenic Lift Rides, Summer Tubing, Water Wars, Paddle Boats, Kayaks, Stand-up Paddle Board, Stunt Jump, Spider Climber, Bungee Jumper, Climbing Wall, Urban Kid, Slackline Park. We ate at our tents that day to make use of the portable camping grilled that I purchased early on for the week. I wanted my partner to have a real outdoor camping experience since it was his first time.

On Sunday we decided to drive along the lake from Gilford to Alton, circled back to Meredith and Laconia. The lake and mountain views set the backdrop for relaxing a day spent strolling and driving around charming lakeside villages, flea markets sightseeing, enjoying endless water sports, boat rides, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, golf, etc.…
